Midlands Timber Frame Company has launched an innovative concept in affordable instant rooms for better modern living.
The firm, whose website (www.room2improve.ie) went live in June this year, has just launched a new product from midlands based timber frame company Future Structures Limited.
Future structures opened up in March this year, creating six new jobs in the region. Timber Frame said sales are strong, with clientele seeking affordable home building technologies that are affordable and energy efficient.
Taking the structural timber frame system one step further, Future Structures has identified a market where its clients were looking to extend their homes more and more as the house price crisis has slowed down the want to sell and build their own home.
A spokesman said: "The home extension market is huge at the moment, and people want a home extension that is easy to heat, cost effective and ready to move into in a short space of time.
"Room2Improve literally delivers just that. Future Structures.ie factory assemble the home extension unit in Carrick on Shannon, completely finish the unit with electrical sockets, paint and tile finishes, etc, and deliver the Completed Unit to the residence and then crane the unit into position."
A lot of new home extensions are exempt from planning permission due the nature of the design being a small floor area to the rear of the dwelling.
"This is a deciding factor in our clients buying the units," said Future Structures
"That and the fact that such a system can have no need for a heating system, given the passive nature of the finished bespoke design makes the ROOM 2 IMPROVE unit a product for the future."
