Waterford Firm Promotes Project Safety Legislation

BusinessSafety.ie has called on stage and design project supervisors to ensure they are fully aware of construction regulations.

The firm, which provides a full range of safety management services for the construction sector, assists developers, builder and sub-contractors in the implementation of legislation.

"BusinessSafety.ie provide high quality, legally compliant risk assessments, safety statements, safety and health plans and method statements," said Emlyn Ó Troighthigh.

"We provide a range of on-site services including implementation of the safety and health plans, site safety audits, on-site representation at client progress meetings, and accident investigations."

BusinessSafety.ie said it offers clients a route to certification in the internationally recognised Safety Management System: OHSAS 18001.

OHSAS 18001 provides a basis for continual improvement and is based on the 'Plan-Do-Check-Act' cycle.

OHSAS 18001 is suitable for organisations operating in the Construction Sector and is compatible with ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management).

As a former Health & Safety Manager with one of the South East's leading contracting and development firms, BusinessSafety.ie owner Mr Ó Troighthigh said he has an excellent understanding of how the construction industry operates, the risks involved and how best to resolve them.
