Balloo Hire Centres Increase MacGen Fleet

MacGen Power Generation Ltd has secured a further order to extend the generator hire fleet of plant, tool, and equipment hire company, Balloo Hire Centres Ltd.

Following on from a major order placed in October 2008, and a number of smaller orders placed in early 2009, Balloo Hire Centres Ltd has again chosen MacGen Power Generation Ltd to increase its fleet size and broaden its range of machines, by investing in a further 14 machines ranging from 60kVA to 350kVA.

"The success of MacGen lies in our ability to work closely with customers such as Balloo Hire Centres, understand their product range and exceed their service and technical requirements," said Harold Irwin, MacGen Power Generation Ltd's Technical Manager.

Paul Lavery, managing director of Balloo Hire Centres, said: "The establishment of a power products division within our business is proving very successful.

"Put simply, no other hire company in Northern Ireland can boast a dedicated team of high-calibre staff who are focused purely on serving the needs of those customers who need a specialised solution to their temporary power requirements," he said.

"This has given us the confidence to fast track our investment plans and press ahead with taking delivery of a further 14 machines in the 60kVA - 350kVA range.

"When deciding on the supplier, despite stiff competition, it was hard to look past MacGen Power Generation’s team who have provided us with an excellent product; backed up by good technical support any time we need it."
