Taking the rock 'n' roll lifestyle to the excess, U2 front man Bono has revealed plans to build a master bedroom larger than most peoples' homes.
Set to rival any other boudoir in Ireland, the 130sqm room will boast his and hers en suites, matching walk-in wardrobes, an adjoining study and a balcony with views of Dublin Bay.
Bono has applied for permission to complete the works on the Killiney home he shares with his wife Ali and their five children.
The submission to Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council details the complete second floor overhaul - encompassing the planned design.
The couple have also requested permission to add a lower ground floor conservatory to their Vico Road house, which will be accessed through the kitchen and living room.
Plans for a full wrap-around second floor terrace have also been lodged; all under the rock star's real name Paul Hewson.
Colin Jennings Architect has designed the terrace scheme - that will be made accessible through a new en suite master bedroom as well as an adjoining en suite study.
Designs listed on the council's website show the massive provisions Bono has made for his stage costumes and hats, as well, of course, his everyday wear.
The new second floor is to take the place of the existing pitched roof.
A decision by the council is due at the end of November.
Several months ago Bono and Ali sought permission for a small performance studio, which was later given the green light.
