At the launch Joe Lynch, President of the Association said: "We are pleased to see the focus back on exporting as the main game in town.
"The Export Industry Awards 2008 will help remind us all of the continued success of individual exporters from Ireland despite the difficult trading conditions."

"This year we have introduced a new award for County Enterprise companies, who will compete for the Emerging Exporter Award. This will enable a wide range of companies with less than 10 employees to be recognised for their export efforts," added Mr Lynch.
This list of categories include: Emerging Exporter of the Year, Manufacturing Exporter of the Year, Services Exporter of the Year and Logistics Company of the Year.
