Green For Go At Plan Expo

It's Green for Go at Plan Expo - the only trade event supported by both the CIF (Construction Industry Federation) and the RIAI (Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland - with details of Ireland’s leading construction industry show being announced. All things eco will be the focus of the debate at the 26th Plan Expo, taking place, from Tuesday, 4th - Thursday, 6th November 2008.

Plan Expo is one of Europe's most highly regarded and best attended construction industry trade events. It is the focal point of Ireland's 'Construction Week', setting the scene around which a range of various activities and awards are planned including the coveted Bank of Ireland OPUS Architecture and Construction Awards.

Of particular relevance at Plan Expo 2008 will be the second year of ecobuild, an entire section focussing on sustainable building methods and renewable energy. The issue of renewable and sustainable technologies has never been more relevant in the construction industry given recent legislative changes. Ecobuild, is a focal area for gathering information on the latest sustainable building and is a prominent feature that continues to grow as interest in the environment, energy conservation and waste reduction is now no longer an added extra for those in the industry.

In addition to recent legislative changes, the current economic climate and downturn in construction means that Plan Expo's focus on industry issues will be a much attended part of the show. Always known as a source of important industry information, this year's Plan Expo is more informative than ever. The show will host a range of industry related seminars which will address the pressing issues facing construction industry professionals in the current climate.

With the primary purpose of Plan Expo a commercial one, the event attracts the cream of the crop from the construction business, and this year’s event will see some 7,000 visitors descend on the RDS, Dublin. The three day event is set to be extremely well attended by all of the various segments within the industry, most of them key decision makers within their sectors, who will come to meet new customers, showcase new products and strengthen relationships with existing customers.

The Plan Expo formula' which includes a series of workshops, seminars and international pavilions has continually been a key element in the huge success of the event. This year will see another display of the most relevant and innovative topics which will be discussed over the course of the three day show.

Extending across all available space in the Simmonscourt and Pavilions the event will host more than 250 exhibitors, showcasing all the latest offerings and cutting edge technologies from some of the most high profile participants within the construction market. For exhibitors the show represents an opportunity to launch new products, generate business, and gain insights into their chosen industry while also allowing face–to-face interaction with their target market.
