Celebrating Excellence In Northern Ireland Construction

The Northern Ireland construction industry is one of the best regions in the UK at producing high quality, value for money buildings and facilities.

To demonstrate this, Constructing Excellence in Northern Ireland (CEni) is just about to host an Exemplar Projects Event, to bring together and showcase the best in business.

It is a forum to share ideas and knowledge, and to celebrate what the industry has achieved in recent years.

All of the participating organisations have achieved a level of competence which has resulted in them receiving awards from various bodies in a variety of categories.

CEni is taking this opportunity to ensure these companies receive the recognition from the industry and that the construction sector is able to learn and experience why they were award winners in their respective categories.

The diversity of the projects from education, retail and housing to water and sewerage treatment projects, highlighted key aspects needed to deliver modern construction projects to time, cost and quality parameters, such as innovation, training, partnering and health and safety.

Colin Smyth, CEni Development Manager, said: "The event will show the industry stakeholders that we have much to be proud of, and that there are many clients, consultants and suppliers within the Northern Ireland construction industry that are leading the way in best practice and innovation.

"At a time when the Northern Ireland construction industry is going through a difficult period, we are delighted to be able to promote excellence within the local market."

The event will run from 9am on Friday 6 June at the ECOS Centre, Ballymena.
