The world famous 4-Star Europa Hotel in Belfast has just completed its new Conference and Exhibition Centre. Equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology, the Centre offers one of the largest and most dynamic conference and exhibition spaces on the Island of Ireland.
The new Exhibition Centre joins the already extensive conference facilities of the City centre hotel which boasts the Grand Ballroom, a rooftop banqueting facility with panoramic views over the City and the nine syndicate room Eurobusiness Centre.
The Exhibition Centre will bring an essential new dimension to the Europa's conference offering and is sure to encourage local, national and international tourism, said Caitriona Lavery, Group Sales Manager at Hastings Hotels: "The Exhibition Centre is in essence a 'black box' facility which can hold exhibitions, shows, meetings, indoor sporting events, wedding fairs and trade fairs.
"It offers 665 square metres of floor space which is totally flexible for its varied uses and can hold between 40-50 exhibition stands. The Exhibition Centre is also self-contained, with a separate entrance at ground level as well as access from the hotel."
The Europa is also set to reclaim its position as the largest hotel in Northern Ireland, with the addition of 35 new bedrooms, bringing the total complement to 275. The work is due to be completed by Autumn 2008 after a £7 million extension and refurbishment programme.
Roz Goldsbrough, Events Manager at the Europa said: "My team and I are expecting interest in our new space to be very high. We frequently get calls from all around the world asking for City centre facilities which offer easy air and rail access for delegates as well as expected technologies events bookers need.
"With a train station and airport on our doorstep, a range of meeting rooms, banqueting suites and exhibition space and a high achieving event team, we are perfectly placed to facilitate successful conferences and exhibitions for many years to come."
