An Irish firm that provides pre-insulated light gauge steel (LGS) frame buildings have announced a series of marked successes, working with prominent contractors and developers throughout Ireland and the UK.
Fusion Building Systems provide a complete system for the design, manufacture and erection of pre-insulated light gauge steel (LGS) frame buildings. Their low carbon building system brings together patented insulation technology and their revolutionary LGS system.
The Fusion concept has been developed from a builder's perspective - maximising cost-effectiveness without compromising on design, quality or desirability.
Recently, the firm completed in excess of 170 units with Castlethorn Construction at Adamstown, Dublin's most esteemed and renowned development. Due to the expertise of the design, project management and site teams involved, 'The Square' came in on time and within budget.
Fusion is an established leader in meeting the stringent requirements for Nursing Home construction. Its pre-insulated light gauge steel frame building system, incorporating concrete composite deck flooring, meets the requirements of 'Purpose Class 2A' for non-combustible floors. It complies with all rigorous building regulation requirements, while also facilitating the various design and architectural complexities that modern Nursing Home design can entail.
Another recent completion by Fusion is the faceted, two-storey Castletroy Nursing Home (John Sisk) which included concrete floor and Tegral roof deck. This was their first project for Sisk Ireland and was completed within programme and well within budget.
In the coming months Fusion is set to embark on a nursing home project with ABM. Their fast track system was selected for the Clonskeagh Nursing Home project due to the system's superior capabilities. Fusion will work to a nine-week site programme at this Dublin site. The system is ideal for tight access sites as the factory-produced, factory insulated LGS frame system lends itself to rapid, highly efficient site erection.
Currently, Fusion is erecting its second project with Bowen Construction. The Castletreasure development located in Douglas, Cork is a prestigious apartment building featuring Fusion's composite concrete deck flooring. They are confident that this project will be successfully delivered upon by Fusion, meeting client requirements well within programme and in accordance with budgetary figures.
A further Fusion project - in collaboration with Event Horizons - at Kilminchy, Portlaois, is nearing completion. The development comprises of 160 houses and a substantial apartment block, which features Fusion's concrete composite deck flooring. Client satisfaction and service delivery remain at the core of the Fusion package, hence the Kilminchy project remains within budget and in line with the site programme.
Overall the Fusion system with its pre-insulated external walls, 'Fusion Therma Shield 162', provides the ideal solution for modern developments where speed, quality and premium service delivery are paramount. The Fusion system provides an elemental wall U-value of 0.21W/m2K delivering excellent acoustic performance.
Also, the 'Fusion Therma Shield 162' system facilitates the achievement of excellent building energy ratings, with the addition of complimentary technologies. Through utilising the Fusion system, with auxiliary recommended technologies, the building is effectively 'shielded' from the effects of future energy rating requirements.
