Western Building Systems Celebrates Silver Anniversary

A smart news letter which reflects the many and varied schemes and services of a leading Ulster building company has been launched to mark the firm's 25th anniversary.

Western Building Systems - a family-owned Coalisland firm - is celebrating its silver anniversary with a range of special events, culminating in a charity ball in November.

As part of the celebrations, Western has launched "onsite" - a 12 page publication which will be sent to its extensive client list throughout Ireland.

The company has built a reputation as an all-Ireland leader in fast-track off-site construction, especially in the education and health sectors. Set up by Martin McCloskey in 1982, it also has a thriving Windows Division, as well as the well-known Western Park Homes which specialises in building modular housing for the leisure and retirement markets across the UK and Ireland.

Managing Director Martin McCloskey said: "It is a special year for us and a major milestone and we really want to make it a memorable one as well.

"We have a number of events planned and the launch of onsite is one way of putting our achievements on record and sharing it with friends and clients throughout the industry in Ireland. It is an informative and I hope, enjoyable read."

Western has also set itself the challenge of raising £20,000 for charity as the main focus of its 25th anniversary celebrations. The charities set to benefit are Trocaire and the locally established African charity Fields of Hope. A gala ball planned for November will mark the culmination of the celebrations.

Mr McCloskey added: "We really wanted to give something back and so the main thrust of our celebration is the charity fund-raising. We also want to thank all our clients and the ball will hopefully serve both purposes as well as being a special event we can all enjoy."
