SIAC and South Dublin Chamber Celebrate Students Achievement

SIAC organised a special presentation in SIAC Headquarters, Monastery Road, Clondalkin to honour the achievements of Kim Jordan, a recipient of the South Dublin Chamber’s Schools Business Partnership funding.

Kim, a former student of Our Lady of Mercy Secondary School, Drimnagh is studying Architectural Technology at DIT, Bolton Street. She has just completed her first year at DIT where she also received the Professional body award presented to a “student who shows professionalism and dedication to the course.”


Garrett Robinson, Commercial Development Division, SIAC who presented this year’s sponsorship said: “We are pleased to be involved in the Schools Business Partnership, to celebrate Kim’s achievements and to wish her all the best for her future.”

Introduced in 1996, the South Dublin Chamber Schools Business Partnership is an annual sponsorship award presented to a student from one of 23 secondary schools from the South Dublin area.

“The Schools Business Partnership works because students, teachers, businesses and community agencies work together to develop our future”, said Peter Byrne, CEO, South Dublin Chamber. “By working closely with schools, businesses can help prepare young people for life and work”.

Kim Jordan says the sponsorship has helped her enormously: “It has allowed me to buy equipment and I am especially grateful to both SIAC and South Dublin Chamber."
