Donseed And Bioscrypt Partner To Create WMS For Construction

Irish company Donseed and Bioscrypt, a leading provider of enterprise access control based in Toronto, have announced the availability of a biometrically enabled mobile workplace management solution (WMS) that uses mobile technology for construction sites.

Donseed, based in Tralee, Co Kerry, provide internet-hosted construction industry management services, and its WMS will use mobile V-Station fingerprint readers to keep construction companies connected to information collected at job sites.

Donseed’s WMS will enable construction companies to manage time and attendance of employees and provides them with a structure through which to manage health and safety compliance.

The WMS will allow all parties to access information in real time in a secure environment. Bioscrypt’s V-Station fingerprint reader, which has been mobile-enabled, will ensure the time and attendance data is accurate.

Contract workers will use their fingerprint scans to authenticate their identity when they arrive at and leave a construction site, eliminating buddy punching - the practice of punching in and out for a fellow employee. The time and attendance information is transmitted back to a central office using the mobile technology solution. Once the job is completed, the mobile GPRS-enabled fingerprint scanner units can be moved to the next construction site.

Vincent Lynch, Chief Executive Officer of Donseed, said: “Bioscrypt’s biometric solution provides greater ability to validate individuals are who they claim to be for the purpose of knowing who is on site and when, while also eliminating time leakage by tracking exactly when employees are on site and when they aren’t. Bioscrypt has proven biometric technology and has been a significant contributing partner in bringing our unique product to market.”

The Web-enabled units can also be used to share all project documents and data on the health and safety training of an employee.

Robert M. Douglas, President of Bioscrypt, said: “Donseed’s WMS is a unique and much-needed solution that can ensure construction companies can keep track of the most current information on their employees. The mobile-enabled fingerprint reader demonstrates the versatility of Bioscrypt’s fingerprint biometric solutions.”

Donseed has over 100 years combined experience in the IT and Construction industries, specialising in systems development, integration and managed services.
