Combining to form Ireland's biggest building event, The Building Exhibition, the Irish Sustainable Building Show and the iT Village are set to cover the most important themes affecting Ireland’s construction industry.
The three co-located events will take place from 20–22 September 2007 in the RDS, Dublin, and will provide a showcase that could attract over 12,000 visitors.
The Irish Sustainable Building Show has been described as Ireland’s biggest showcase of sustainable building products. The 2007 Show has teamed up with Green Cement manufacturer Ecocem to launch Ireland’s first Carbon Neutral Exhibition, and other attractions include a free seminar programme that will provide hands-on advice from some of the industry’s most respected speakers.
In addition, there will be two Show Houses at the event. The Wooden House Builders will be building a full-sized passive wooden house which will highlight the many benefits of wooden house construction and sustainability, while Eco House Ltd will build a scaled version of a sustainable house inside the Irish Sustainable Building Show.
The iT Village, in association with the Construction Information Technology Alliance (CITA), will be Ireland’s first IT Construction Show - and will allow visitors to see the latest technological advances, view hardware and software and try all the latest products before they buy.
The objectives of the iT Village are to encourage participants in the Irish Construction sector to take full advantage of current and emerging ICT technologies. Expert advice on all ICT subjects will be offered in a programme of free seminars organised by the CITA.
The Building Exhibition will have over 150 leading suppliers reflecting the wide range of quality products on the market, along with the construction industry’s latest developments.
