Mountpark, a leading European logistics developer, has commenced construction on the first phase of its Grange Castle West development in South Dublin. This €325+ million project marks the company's second major logistics investment in Ireland in recent years.

Located just two kilometers from Mountpark's fully occupied Baldonnell project, Grange Castle West will bring the company's total investment in the Irish logistics sector to €600 million since 2019. The 78-acre development can accommodate up to 1.24 million square feet of prime logistics space and is strategically positioned with excellent access to the N7 and N4 motorways.

Phase 1 of Grange Castle West comprises five buildings totaling 626,234 square feet, ranging in size from 70,000 to 197,000 square feet. Three of these units – Unit 1 (114,766 sq. ft.), Unit 2 (197,500 sq. ft.), and Unit 4 (97,000 sq. ft.) – will be available for lease from the second quarter of 2025. The other two units are already reserved for customers.

The development will be constructed to a high standard, focusing on sustainability and targeting BREEAM Outstanding and BER A1 ratings. The campus-style infrastructure will create a landscaped external environment and offer opportunities for bespoke design and build requirements of up to 500,000 square feet.

Upon completion, Grange Castle West is expected to create approximately 1,000 jobs onsite, with an additional 300 jobs generated during the construction phase.

Brett Huxley, development director for Mountpark (UK & Ireland) commented: "We are thrilled to renew our commitment to Ireland with this latest development marking our next major investment into the South Dublin County Council area. Our previous development at Baldonnell delivered significant success for us, our occupiers, south Dublin, and the wider Irish economy. This project reflects our ongoing confidence in the region, and we are excited to continue building, investing and delivering on key infrastructure in Ireland.

"We take pride in creating logistics facilities that demonstrate our commitment to quality, efficiency and sustainability. Mountpark has a strong track record of attracting quality customers and, at Mountpark Grange Castle West, we aim to attract major local, national and global occupiers who will align these facilities with their operational needs and sustainability goals."
