The Clyde Waterfront regeneration scheme, which involved constructing a 184-metre opening road bridge over the River Clyde at Renfrew, has been recognised for Digital Construction Project of the Year. To manage this complex project, biometric software was implemented for real-time site monitoring, improving labour data tracking and saving time. A sophisticated Building Information Modelling (BIM) system ensured a coordinated digital design, integrating 40 separate models and automating information delivery. Drones were utilised for environmental and logistical surveys, improving accuracy and safety. The digital model also enabled 4D simulations and animations for stakeholder engagement, with 84 stakeholders trained on its applications.
