Water Supply Restored To Galway City

Uisce Éireann has announced that water supply has been restored to residents west of Galway City this morning following overnight repair works.

Specialist crews conducted repair works in the Tonabracky/Letteragh Road area between 10pm on Wednesday night and 1am on Thursday morning.

During this time, customers in areas including Western Distributor Road, Letteragh Road, Rahoon Road, the N59 in Dangan, Ballymoneen Road, Clybaun Road, Bóthar Stiofán and Gort Na Bró experienced some disruption to their water supply. However, supply has now been restored.

Shay Walsh of Uisce Éireann thanked customers for their understanding while these critical repair works were underway. He said: "Uisce Éireann acknowledges the inconvenience caused by interruptions to water supply and thanks customers in Galway City for their patience and cooperation while these works were carried out."
