Uisce Éireann To Undertake Repair Works In Galway City

Uisce Éireann is scheduled to undertake essential repairs on a watermain in Galway City to secure the area's drinking water supply.

Specialist crews will carry out the works overnight on Tonabrocky/Letteragh Road on Wednesday, 28 August. These repairs are critical to fix a section of the pipeline that is at risk of bursting if not addressed.

Customers in Western Distributor Road, Letteragh Road, Rahoon Road, N59 in Dangan area, Ballymoneen Road, Clybaun Road, Bóthar Stiofán and Gort Na Bró may experience an interruption to their water supply between 10pm on Wednesday 28 August and 6am on Thursday 29 August.

Uisce Éireann's Shay Walsh explained that specialist teams will works as quickly as possible through the night to complete the repairs and restore normal water supply. He said: "Uisce Éireann acknowledges the inconvenience caused by interruptions to water supply and thanks customers in Galway City for their patience and cooperation while we deliver these essential works."
