BAM Brings Prime Investment Opportunity To Cork City

Construction News Image
BAM is set to bring a prime retail investment opportunity in Cork City centre to the market at a guide price of €1,730,000.

The property is situated in the heart of Cork on the west side of South Main Street. It is an integral part of the Brewery Quarter Development, featuring a range of amenities such as a 420-bedroom student accommodation complex known as Lee Point, the renowned Counting House mixed-use scheme spanning 90,000 sq ft and the forthcoming Cork Event Centre with a capacity of 6,000. Currently, the area is undergoing a significant transformation with a €46 million public realm improvement initiative, which commenced this week with the commencement of works in Bishop Lucy Park. The building includes a newly constructed ground floor self-contained retail unit extending to a gross internal area of 5,708 sq ft. The store is fully fitted to a high standard and trades as a Tesco Express.

CBRE and Behan Irwin & Gosling are acting as joint agents on behalf of BAM.

Brian Edwards, CBRE commented: "This prime city centre investment is let to an exceptional tenant on a long-term lease. It is a very attractive lot size that will have strong appeal to a wide range of private and institutional investors."

Cearbhall Behan, BIG said: "We expect significant interest due to the quality of the covenant and the limited supply of such secure investments in the marketplace."
