Leading paving and building manufacturer, AG, has set out its ambition to achieve a 32 per cent sales increase in 2024 at its annual Sales Conference.
At the conference AG reported a 20 per cent increase in sales this year. This follows on from the company's record-breaking year last year when it reported a 12 per cent increase in sales, with sales in GB up 20 per cent.
AG recently invested £5 million to upgrade its operations, including buying advanced machinery to improve efficiency and safety standards, in response to growing customer demand.
CEO, Stephen Acheson said: "The past year has seen us achieve record-breaking sales in both the domestic and commercial sectors amidst some challenging sector conditions – which is testament to the resilience and outstanding work of our team”.
"We predict this exceptional demand will continue to grow over the next 12 months, placing considerable pressure on building merchants. In response, we have introduced new processes enabling us to significantly increase production input and massively reducing our lead times. We have greater stock levels of some of our most popular products which can be easily called off at short notice and lead times on some made to order items is as little as four weeks, which will be satisfying news to our customers."
Commercial Director Rodney Davidson said: "2023 was a big year for us and we plan to build on this throughout the year.
"We remain committed to delivering the best products to our customers and by continuing to invest in research and development and harnessing technology we have been able to expand our product portfolio and increase our production capacity, as well as adding depth and breadth to our Sales and Specification Team in GB."
AG has recently launched Crescent, an entry-level flagstone made with 100% locally-sourced aggregates and engineered with AG’s renowned premium quality.
For over six decades, the family business has excelled in hard landscaping and construction solutions, serving customers across the UK and Ireland. They offer high-quality products and services to architects, contractors, merchants, and homeowners.
In response to increased demand in both residential and commercial sectors, the third-generation business has expanded its workforce, including promoting James Jack to GB Sales Director. This new role reflects the company's focus on boosting sales across the region. Acheson, the company spokesperson, anticipates further growth in demand in the months ahead.
