Irish energy firm ESB has announced a new pilot partnership with www.YourRetrofit.ie.
The partnership was agreed as part of the ESB-supported Free Electrons programme.
The YourRetrofit.ie team will now work directly with ESB’s Customer Solutions business unit, Electric Ireland, to deliver supports for homeowners beginning their home retrofit journey.
The unique algorithms of www.YourRetrofit.ie automatically provide a clear set of options enabling homeowners to avail of the highest energy rating uplift possible within their specified budget. The platform also includes details of all grants available to the homeowner, as well as providing estimates of the various savings and property value increases that can be achieved. Importantly, the site also connects homeowners with SEAI-approved contractors and One Stop Shop Services to commence the upgrade work.
As part of the partnership, visitors to the platform will be provided with estimates on the savings they could achieve with Electric Ireland price plans alongside their retrofit project. Through the site, homeowners can also avail of Electric Ireland’s ever-growing suite of offerings, such as Solar PV, to enable them to take action at the click of a button.
Tom Bean, Head of Innovation and New Products, Electric Ireland, said: "We are delighted to be working with YourRetrofit.ie to help customers on what can often be a complex process when retrofitting their home. Our goal is to support people on their journey to a lower-carbon world, and we firmly believe YourRetrofit.ie can play an important role in guiding customers to make the right energy decisions at home. This is aligned, and now part of, Electric Ireland’s ‘Your World, Brighter’ campaign."
David Shiel, Managing Director of www.YourRetrofit.ie, said: "We are delighted to announce Electric Ireland, the country’s largest energy provider, as a headline partner on our YourRetrofit.ie platform. Electric Ireland's net zero strategy perfectly aligns with our mission to drive significant increases in the number of retrofits being undertaken in accordance with the government’s Climate Action Plan. Through this partnership, we are very excited to begin working on a variety of strategic initiatives combining our product sets with Electric Ireland’s customer and market insights to drive increased accessibility, transparency and momentum in the retrofit marketplace. The YourRetrofit.ie platform provides simple to understand, tailor-made, advice regarding the upgrade options suitable for every home and budget."
