Council Gives Go-Ahead For Doagh Housing Development

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council has approved plans for a £35 million housing development in Doagh, County Antrim.

The new development will feature 187 homes and will be situated between Station Road and Burn Road.

Work on the new housing development will bring 50 jobs and apprenticeships to the area during the construction period.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Mark Cooper BEM, said: "Doagh will continue to thrive and grow by welcoming new residents to its vibrant community. The area has been going from strength to strength and will benefit greatly from the arrival of its new residents."

Chair of the Planning Committee, Councillor Robert Foster, stated: "This approval will bring extra footfall to Doagh businesses and allow more people to enjoy this prime location for residential living."
