NI's innovative maritime engineering firm, Artemis Technologies, has celebrated reaching 150 employees.
The company has experienced substantial growth recently as the mass production of the Artemis EF-12 Workboat range has began. The production has driven recruitment in manufacturing because of Artemis Technologies scaling up to meet global demand.
Reinforcing its commitment to delivering green jobs in Northern Ireland, Artemis Technologies has welcomed its latest intake of apprentices. Building on its successful collaboration with Belfast Met College, the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering apprenticeship program, now in its third year, has resulted in the company employing 23 apprentices in total.
Dr Iain Percy OBE, CEO of Artemis Technologies, said: "Reaching a workforce of 150 employees is a pivotal moment for Artemis Technologies. Our team's unwavering dedication and expertise have been instrumental in translating our vision of revolutionising the maritime industry into a tangible reality. With the infusion of fresh talent, we are better poised than ever to accelerate our efforts in crafting sustainable, high-performance vessels that will define the future of maritime transportation.
"While we're thrilled to achieve this milestone in our employee count, this is just the beginning as we embark on further global expansion."
Debbie Eve, Director of People at Artemis Technologies, stated: "Artemis Technologies is not only making strides in sustainability but also in fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce. With employees representing 19 nationalities.
"The company thrives on a combination of top-class local and international talent – from engineering and naval architecture to manufacturing and compliance, Artemis Technologies brings together a wide range of skills and expertise to drive innovation."
