Cork-based, multi-disciplinary construction company, Sorensen Civil Engineering (Sorensen), has been awarded the much sought after CPD Accredited Employer Standard by Engineers Ireland in recognition of their continuing professional development strategy.
Recent projects completed by Sorensen include Dinish Wharf Pier Extension in Castletownbere, Waterford IDA Industrial Estate Infrastructural Works, N73 Clogher to Waterdyke Cross Road Scheme in Cork and Youghal Eco Boardwalk.
At the CPD accreditation parchment presentation at Sorensen's headquarters in Cork, John Wallace, Managing Director, said: "We are very pleased to be awarded the much-coveted CPD Accredited Employer Standard from Engineers Ireland. This is a testament to the hard-work, persistence and diligence of our professional management team who created and implemented our new CPD programme. The programme will enable the continued development and growth of our professional staff within a structured framework. It will also help to create an environment of learning and knowledge sharing that will drive the future growth of the business. Furthermore, the CPD programme will assist in attracting additional professional staff who are looking for professional growth opportunities within our industry."
