Resurfacing Works To Begin In Armagh

Contractors have been appointed to resurface 0.9 kilometres of the Portadown Road in Armagh.

Resurfacing work will begin on the 2 October, and is due to be completed on the 16 October. However this is dependent on weather conditions.

The road will be resurfaced from the junction with Drumadd Road to the junction with Drummanmore Road

In order to facilitate the works, the road will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.30am.

An alternative route will be signed with traffic being diverted via A3 College Hill, A3 Rokeby Green, A3 The Mall West, A51 Gaol Square, A51 Barrack Hill, A51 Hamiltonsbawn Road, B111 Annareagh Road, B131 Legacorry Road and A3 Portadown Road.

Local access for residents and emergency services will be maintained although there may be minor delays.

Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journey and to follow the alternative routes.
