The sewers are located in the Ward Park, Castle Street, Hamilton Road and Springfield Avenue areas. The improvement work will begin on Monday, 24 July, and is expected to take around 10 weeks.
The repairs form part of an overall programme of work by NI Water to strengthen the existing sewerage network in Bangor to protect against blockages and reduce the risk of out-of-sewer flooding.

The work will be completed in two phases as follows:
• The first phase of work will involve the repair of manholes on Castle Street (at Castle Park Road junction), in Ward Park and on Springfield Avenue (at Hamilton Road junction). This work is planned to get underway during the week commencing 24 July and will last approximately six weeks.
• The second phase of work will see the improvement of sewers by trenchless lining methods from the repaired manholes. This work is planned to get underway during the week commencing 04 September and will last approximately four weeks.
