Members of the public have been urged to have their say on a Village Plan for the Creeslough Community in County Donegal.

This public consultation will be led by Donegal County Council, the Creeslough Working Group and the Creeslough Community Association supported by Arup.

The process to prepare a Village Plan will outline opportunities for project development, village renewal, regeneration and healing in the aftermath of the tragedy of 07 October 2022 and will be led by the multi-disciplinary and international consultancy service Arup.

Operating in Ireland since 1946, Arup is a global sustainable development consultancy using imagination, technology, and rigour to shape a better world. Arup are offering their services pro bono to assist the Creeslough Community. The Council Working Group and Creeslough Community Association are grateful to receive this generous offer of services and support.

It is proposed that this collaborative arrangement will also see the early identification and progression of a community project on Trustee Lands to the rear of St. Michaels Parish Church. It is proposed that this community project will be informed by the first stages of community consultation and that thereafter the project will be developed towards planning consent and capital funding stage by Donegal County Council's Regeneration & Development Team in parallel with the process to prepare the Village Plan.

The first stage of public consultation will run between 04-25 May and will consist of a series of events.
