Leading international infrastructure operations partner Actavo has reached a landmark safety milestone.
Headquartered in Dublin, the firm is celebrating one year without a lost time incident across all of its operations globally. It achieved 5.2 million hours worked during the period across all of its business units, which was spread across more than 2,000 employees and contractors at over 100 project sites around the world.
The milestone was reached yesterday, 31 October, coinciding with the conclusion of the Construction Industry Federation's Construction Safety Week campaign.
This achievement is in line with Actavo's core value, Live SAFETY, which is central to the company's Health & Safety philosophy, which encourages everybody in the organisation to play an active role in ensuring that it reaches its objective of Zero Harm. Actavo's Health & Safety Management System is underpinned by its Golden Rules, which set out its minimum standards along with each employee's commitment to working safely by supporting and encouraging an environment that enables people to plan, engage, consult on a daily basis and empowers people to make the right decisions.
Brian Kelly, Group CEO of Actavo, said: "The Senior Leadership Team wishes to thank each and every person, both employees and contractors, who have embraced our Health & Safety ethos in achieving this fantastic result – this is your result, well done and thank you for continuing to embody our core values every day."
Actavo achieved three prestigious awards at the most recent All Ireland Occupational Health & Safety Awards, namely the Excellence in Safety Award, the Utility Services Award, and the Driving for Work Award. The company also achieved four awards at the prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Awards 2022 in the UK, including the RoSPA Order of Distinction Award, the RoSPA President's Award, the RoSPA Fleet Safety Gold Medal and the RoSPA Fleet Safety Technology Trophy.
