A key route in Lisburn is set to close for a £576,000 carriageway resurfacing scheme.
The major works will take place on A26 Moira Road, extending from 300m north of Soldierstown Road to Leckey Road.
Work will begin on Friday 30 September and is expected to run until Sunday 16 October.
To facilitate the works it will be necessary to implement road closures for three consecutive weekends as follows:
• Friday 30 September at 9pm until Sunday 02 October at 7pm
• Saturday 08 October at 5am until Sunday 09 October at 7pm
• Saturday 15 October at 5am until Sunday 16 October at 7pm.
During these times a signed diversionary route will be in place using the A3 Lisburn Road - A3 Moira Road - Knockmore Road - A30 Prince William Road - Ballymacash Road - A30 Glenavy Road - A30 Lisburn Road and vice versa.
In addition to the weekend closures, weekday lane closures will be in place through the works site from Monday 03 October until Friday 07 October 2022 from 9.30am until 4.30pm each day.
Road users should expect some delays and are advised to allow additional time for their journey especially if travelling to Belfast International Airport.
