The property was named the winner in the Cultural / Public Buildings category during a ceremony held in MoLI, Museum of Literature Ireland on 23 June 2022.
The annual awards acknowledge achievements in architecture and celebrate the quality of work carried out by RIAI members and the contribution registered architects make to the built environment.

Castletymon Library was funded by South Dublin County Council & designed in conjunction with SDCC Architect Department & Henchion + Reuter Architects.
This library provides a new civic presence to the local community. The interiors & exteriors are awe-inspiring, welcoming, safe and responsive. It meets the needs and expectations of modern society by delivering a quality building.
The library provides a space to the main hall, with their proportioned rooms interconnected to different spaces and functions, including the east, west and south-facing spaces that enjoy light, the warmth of the sun and river views.
The architectural design & qualities of the building rejuvenated the character, and appearance of the existing road frontage and pedestrian route, improving passive oversight of the public roadway.
