The brand was developed as part of a £274,000 Coalisland Revitalisation Project, funded by the Department for Communities (DfC), and follows the successful completion of the £4.27 million Public Realm Scheme in the town.
Developing the brand was subject to a consultation process with local traders and community and voluntary groups in the town, and it will be used going forward to market and promote Coalisland town.
Speaking on the launch of the new brand, Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Paul McLean said: "Coalisland has always been a very community-focused town so it was important that the new brand captured and conveyed this. With the strapline of the brand affirming Coalisland's position as the 'heart of it all', it expresses this close link perfectly. The launch of the new brand follows extensive investment in the town centre including the completion of the £4.27M public realm, this £274K revitalisation project and a £170K Active Travel Scheme, again emphasising the Council's commitment to contributing to the regeneration of the town.

"I wish to formally thank DfC for providing the substantial funding required to bring this new brand to fruition and for again working in partnership with the Council to help advance Coalisland for its residents, businesses, traders and shoppers."
Communities Minister, Deirdre Hargey commented: "The funding provided by my Department towards the creation of a new town centre brand for Coalisland will strengthen its identity, whilst building confidence and civic pride in the town for traders, residents, shoppers and visitors alike."
Chair of Coalisland Town Centre Forum, Niamh Doris, added: "I'm delighted to see Coalisland Branding launched, following the £4million investment of the new public realm scheme. I want to thank everyone involved in the design of the new branding, particularly the traders in the town who contributed a lot of creative ideas. I hope that residents will embrace the new branding as it truly reflects the diversity of talent and unique qualities that exist in Coalisland, from its rich history to the vast range of sporting and culture that it provides."
