Piling has commenced on the Weavers Cross scheme thanks to firm FK Lowry, on behalf of Farrans/Sacyr JV.
The firm has mobilised two Soilmec Piling Rigs to install 600mm diameter CFA Piles to depths of up to 28m for the exciting new Infrastructure Project that will be appropriately named, Grand Central Station.

Adrian O'Rourke, Contracts Manager, said: "We're delighted to have mobilised to the Transport Hub Project and have already successfully completed a programme of Preliminary Test Piling to verify our Design. We've initially mobilised two of our Soilmec Piling Rigs and hope to add to this over the duration of the works. We're delighted to be back working in Belfast and buoyed by the increase in construction activity in the City."
FK Lowry has a rich heritage of piling in Belfast and notable projects include Victoria Square Shopping Centre, Hilton Hotel and BT Tower as well as numerous Commercial and Industrial Developments right across the city and region.
