Habinteg Ulster Appoints New Head Of Housing

Habinteg Ulster has appointed a new Head of Housing.

Judith McNamee has been working in the social housing sector in Northern Ireland for two decades, having first joined the Housing Executive's Graduate Trainee programme in 2002.

From that beginning - combining studies for a Post Graduate Diploma in Housing Studies alongside an array of work placements in both housing policy and the delivery of front line housing services - Judith's service with the Housing Executive continued for 19 years, encompassing the roles of Senior Housing Officer, Assistant District Manager, Team Leader, Principal Officer and Governance Manager. In each of these roles Judith strove to ensure that she and her teams provided high quality housing services meeting and often exceeding the needs and expectations of tenants and stakeholders alike.

Judith is passionate about providing quality social housing and support services and has a wealth of experience of community involvement; empowering tenants to be actively involved in their local communities. She has led and mentored many teams throughout her career; often through times of uncertainty and change, always ensuring dynamic service development by valuing team participation and ensuring continued professional development.

She said: "I am excited about the next chapter of my housing career as Head of Housing with Habinteg and I welcome this opportunity to contribute to the organisation’s future direction."
