Finish crushing and screening equipment manufacturer, Metso:Outotec has expanded the role of its distributor in Northern Ireland, McHale Plant Sales, adding their range of stationary, fixed position crushers to the range of mobile crushers which McHale currently distributes in the province.

The appointment is one that enables McHale Plant Sales to extend further their deepening presence in the Northern Ireland market, tasking the Rathcoole and Birdhill-based company to provide complete sales, marketing, distribution, parts and after-sales support for the Metso:Outotec range of crushing and screening equipment and aftermarket products and services on an all-island basis.

In a letter to customers, Metso:Outotec said: "The partnership (with McHale Plant Sales) is one that will increase our local support and stockholding to the advantage and benefit of customers. This will include all crushing and screening equipment, including mobile equipment, parts and services to be supplied to the quarrying and contracting business segments."

McHale Plant Sales has been distributors of Metso:Outotec products in Ireland since 2015. Against that background, the company will bring "its unrivalled knowledge of our products and a thorough understanding of the each model’s suitability and performance in quarrying and aggregates production", Metso:Outotec added.

"Of particular significance is McHale Plant Sales’ knowledge of the market in Northern Ireland and their understanding of the priorities and preferences that customers set in terms of support and representation – especially at times of urgent need," the company added.

Commenting, McHale Plant Sales Chairman, Michael McHale said: "Northern Ireland is an important market with which we have had a long and successful association.

"With our Area Sales Manager in the province, Northern Ireland-based Raymond Murphy, we welcome this expansion to our role and look forward with enthusiasm to supporting Metso:Outotec customers there, especially in anticipation of the economic uplift we expect the future will bring."
