Work To Start On Street Lighting Upgrade Project In Portadown

Work is to start on a £120,000 street lighting upgrade project in Portadown.

The work on the Northway will commence on Sunday, 25 October, and is expected to complete by mid November.

The scheme will involve the replacement of the existing lights with a new LED street lighting system and will also include a full replacement of all underground cables. It will extend from Portadown train station up to and including the Shillington Bridge.

Lane closures will be in place from Sunday 25 October to Sunday 8 November excluding Saturdays. The works will take place during off peak times between 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday and 6am and 12 noon on Sundays. Some delays may be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
