Plans are in place to extend the seating capacity of the Council owned Tallaght Stadium to 10,000, with the building of the North Stand. The Council also plans to develop the West Stand to incorporate a high-quality corporate area. This follows the expansion of the stadium in March of this year with the opening of the South Stand.
A contract has now been signed with Core to develop an advertising and marketing strategy for the stadium, selling it as an events venue to include music, festivals and all aspects of community events.

Following the completion of the extensions, the venue will accommodate up to 20,000 people with stadium seating and temporary on-field seating.
Core will first develop an analysis of advertising and branding opportunities for Tallaght Stadium to inform future advertising and marketing plans. This is expected to be completed at the beginning of 2020.
