OMNI by Terex has been named in the final shortlist for three prestigious awards.
The new solution improves efficiency, simplifies the process, and most importantly, reduces the risk of injury on crushing and screening jobsites. It delivers a tablet-based interface that is fitted inside the cab of a material feed excavator and gives operators centralised remote access to multiple machine control systems within a crushing and screening train.
The technology enhances jobsite safety by giving the operator full control and ability of immediate intervention without having to leave the cab, reducing the operator's direct contact with heavy duty crushing equipment at ground level and other elements of the jobsite (such as dust/moving equipment). It also simplifies and improves efficiency of the operation of crushing and screening equipment by providing real-time information and increased visibility through live-camera views, so the operator can make informed decisions and adjust settings when needed.
Over the next month, the technology will compete at the KHL World Demolition Awards, IQ Excellence Awards, and MPA Health and Safety Awards.
The KHL World Demolition Awards has shortlisted Terex Corporation in its 'Manufacturer Innovation Plant & Equipment' category recognising its innovative approach to the design and engineering behind OMNI by Terex. The winners will be announced on Thursday 24 October in Boston.
Terex has also been shortlisted in the 'Most Effective Process Improvement' category for the OMNI by Terex at the IQ Excellence Awards, while President of Terex Materials Processing, Kieran Hegarty will also contest 'Most Inspirational Leader'. The winners will be announced at the annual 'Stonecrushers Ball' taking place on Friday 25 October in Belfast.
The
MPA Health and Safety Awards are the premier event for health and safety within the mineral products industry showcases the steps industry is taking to move closer to the ultimate target of Zero Harm. OMNI by Terex has been shortlisted under 'Engineering Initiatives' for demonstrating an innovative or evolutionary engineering design, improvement or solution which has led to the most notable elimination or reduction in the risk of injury and/or occupational ill-health. The winners will be announced at the MPA Health & Safety Awards on Wednesday 13 November in London.
Kieran Hegarty, President Terex Materials Processing said: "It is terrific to see OMNI by Terex shortlisted in these industry awards, particularly in such highly competitive categories. It is affirmation from external, reputable industry experts of the dedication that our team puts into developing pioneering, purpose-driven ideas that adds genuine value and transforms the experience that customers have with Terex products."
