A number of local school children joined the Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Julie Flaherty, to help build a time capsule at the site.
Speaking at the event, former Lord Mayor Julie Flaherty commented: "This really is history in the making and I'm delighted our wonderful school children have been involved in filling this exciting time capsule. I can't help but think forward in time to the lucky people who will eventually dig it up and get a glimpse of their community in 2019!"

South Lake Leisure Centre, which is being built adjacent to Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre, will feature an eight-lane, 50-metre swimming pool, a teaching pool, fun pool and a spectator gallery. It will also include an eight-court sports hall, studio spaces, squash courts, an indoor children's soft play area and a world class 1,000m2 gym.
Contractor Farrans is spearheading the construction of the new cutting-edge leisure centre on behalf of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.
