A director from Radius Housing, the Northern Ireland social homes provider, is set to compete for two prestigious awards.
Director of Development, Anita Conway, was nominated for IOD NI Public/Third Sector Director of the Year and the UK wide Housing Hero's 'Exceptional Contribution by a CIH Member'.
Anita, who has worked in the social housing sector for over 20 years, was also recognised earlier this year by the Northern Ireland Chartered Institute of Housing for her contribution to the housing sector.
The Institute of Director Awards focus on the individual's achievement, the importance of the director's role in the community, and the commitment and expertise which contributed to the success of their business and to the Northern Ireland economy in the preceding 12 months.
The Housing Heroes Awards recognise the people that make housing great from right across the UK, and Anita is the only Northern Ireland representative on the shortlist. Jointly organised by Inside Housing and the Chartered Institute of Housing, they provide the opportunity to reward the hard work of outstanding teams and individuals.
Speaking about the nominations Anita said: "I am honoured to be nominated for both these prestigious awards. I have been lucky throughout my career to work with exceptional and passionate housing and property development experts right across the sector. Their support, guidance and encouragement has provided me with so many opportunities and has helped me to where I am today.
"I am highly fortunate, as working for Radius and in the housing and property development sector which is both challenging and fulfilling. Being part of a forward-thinking organisation with a Board and Chief Executive that have presented me with the opportunity to continually develop and grow my knowledge and skill set. Being shortlisted for these awards is a testament to the work of the whole team at Radius."
The IOD NI Award winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in The Merchant Hotel on Friday 17 May 2019, while the Housing Heroes Awards will be announced in Manchester on 24 June 2019.
