£1m Mullinure Road Scheme Underway In Co Armagh

Work is underway on a new £1 million road scheme in Mullinure, Co Armagh.

Charles Brand is delivering the Mullinure Road project, which involves constructing a new 700m link road for the area along with two new roundabouts and a new junction onto Mullinure Lane.

The new road will run adjacent to the existing Mullinure Lane, replacing a section of the lane and joining the Portadown Road at a new roundabout.

A new access junction will also replace the existing junction of Mullinure Lane and Portadown Road. The unused section of Mullinure Lane between the old and the new access points will become a shared pedestrian cycleway.

Accommodation works will include landscaping, street lighting, road signs, road lining and fencing.

Paddy Harney, Charles Brand Civil Engineering Director, said: "Our dedicated and experienced construction team are delighted to be delivering the Mullinure Link Road Project. We are fully committed to delivering the project safely, on time and within budget."

Jill Armstrong of Deanery Demesne Ltd added: "We are delighted to have appointed Charles Brand to deliver what will be an excellent local road improvement for Armagh City."

The project will be delivered in a nine-month period.
