Farrans To Investigate And Repair Leakage In Carrick-On-Shannon

Farrans Construction is to commence leakage investigation and repair works in Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim.

District Metering Areas across the town will be surveyed in conjunction with Irish Water's Find and Fix Scheme and delivery of the First Fix Free Scheme.


Leakage Reduction Programme Regional Lead, Declan Cawley, said: "Works relating to District Metering Area review and the Find and Fix Scheme often have no impact on customers. They may require short term water outages however these are generally undertaken during the night when water usage is low and to ensure the level of customer disruption is kept to a minimum."

Work will be completed as part of Irish Water's four-year National Leakage Reduction Programme.

The project will be carried out over the coming months.
