NIHE And NIFRS To Host Event For Residents Living In Tower Blocks

Representatives from the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) and the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) are to host an event for residents living in tower blocks throughout NI.

The event will take place at the Recy at 6pm on Thursday, 22 June.

Sinn Fein invited the representatives following a fire at Grenfell, London, which killed over 70 people.

Carál Ní Chuilín MLA said: "We want residents to be fully informed of emergency evacuation procedures and to have as much information as possible in order to feel assured given the tragic events in London.

"Anyone who is unable to attend will be kept updated by letter following actions arising from the meeting on Thursday.
