BSG Civil Engineering is continuing work on a project to refurbish and improve the water infrastructure in Belleek, Co Fermanagh.
Pipelaying on the Cornahaltie Road is scheduled to be completed towards the end of this week, with the contractor then moving on to the Brollagh Road.
The new watermain will be laid along the Brollagh Road from its junction with the Cornahaltie Road to its junction with the Loughshore Road.
To facilitate the pipelaying work, a lane closure will be implemented on the Brollagh Road with traffic lights in operation at all times. Initially one lane of the Brollagh Road will be closed from Farrancassidy Crossroads to approximately 1km from its junction with the Loughshore Road. A further lane closure will be implemented to facilitate pipelaying up to the Loughshore Road. Access will be maintained for any residents living within the lane closure areas.
Martin Gillen, NI Water's Project Manager for the scheme, said: "This is an important scheme for the Belleek area, which is aimed at delivering an improved level of service for local customers. The new pipeline and pumping station upgrade will boost the security of the local water supply infrastructure and importantly will protect against bursts which have been a problem in the Belleek area in the past."
