The Carland to Cookstown Water Trunk Main will improve the local water supply infrastructure, as well as the security of the water supply in Cookstown and the surrounding areas.
The project, which got underway in Autumn 2015, involved the construction of 11km of water pipeline from Carland Service Reservoir to the Sandholes Road in Cookstown. The main route was along the A29 Dungannon to Cookstown Road.
Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard said: "The completion of this £2million investment is good news for customers in Cookstown and the surrounding areas by improving the local water supply infrastructure and security of supply. The contract also provided a welcome boost to the local construction sector.

Projects like this which directly improve people's daily lives will put in place the infrastructure needed for this generation and the next and will help to deliver a prosperous economic future for everyone."

McAdam Design provided design and technical support on the project.
