Around 124 households on the Galmoy Replacement Water Supply Scheme have been issued with a 'Boil Water' notice as a precautionary measure.
The notice has been in place since Friday, 08 July.

Irish Water selected a contractor to clean and sterilise the reservoir and to construct a bypass of the existing reservoir to allow supply to customers to be maintained during the reservoir cleaning works.
The construction of the bypass will also facilitate routine cleaning of the reservoir in the future without requiring disruption to supply.
Works are expected to begin at Galmoy later this week and it is anticipated to be complete by the end of August.
A report will be submitted to the HSE who will decide when the notice will be lifted.
