Belfast City Council has issued a reminder to green technology investors, developers and occupiers to express their interest in Northern Ireland's first Cleantech Hub at Giant's Park as the deadline is approaches.
The deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 27 January.
Since early December, firms have been invited to express initial interest for plots within the £9.5 million development off the Dargan Road, which is expected to create up to 400 green collar jobs when fully completed.
The c.30 acre project is funded by Belfast City Council and is part-funded by Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund under the Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland.
The expressions of interest process is being managed by commercial estate agents Lisney, on behalf of the council.
David McNellis, Director of Lisney, said: "We launched the Expressions of Interest phase in late 2015 and so far we have experienced a healthy level of registrations from local, national and international cleantech businesses, developers and occupiers.
"There is scope for occupation by businesses of various sizes working across a number of cleantech sectors with plots at the hub ranging from 0.5 to 30 acres, accommodating buildings from 2,000 sq ft upwards.
"This registration stage of the process is now coming to a close and interested parties should express their interest by 27 January when we’ll start qualifying applicants.
"Giant's Park is yet another milestone in the regeneration of Belfast and a very exciting opportunity.
"As cleantech becomes a more and more significant sector in global markets, it is very positive for the own local property market that Belfast is the newest location to house a cluster of this kind."
