SDLP Slams Those Responsible For Dumping Tyres In Fermanagh

The SDLP has hit out at the people responsible for dumping a number of tyres at a lough in Fermanagh.

Up to 80 tyres were dumped at Keenaghan Lough sometime between Wednesday and Thursday last week.

SDLP Fermanagh Councillor John Coyle has arranged with the council for the tyres to be removed, however he slammed those responsible.

Cllr Coyle said: "Keenaghan Lough is a beautiful spot and attracts visitors from all over this island, and beyond, to Fermanagh. I was shocked to learn that someone had decided to use an idyllic area like this as a dump for their used tyres. This kind of behaviour is totally unacceptable.

"Our natural heritage is a source of real pride for people living here. Those who undermine and destroy it like this are not welcome and I would encourage anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to get in touch with the council as soon as possible."
