Appointments To Casement Park Redevelopment Announced

The Ulster Council has appointed the GAA (UCGAA) key personnel to redevelop Casement Park in west Belfast.

Rory Miskelly has been appointed as Project Director and Professor John Cole and Michael McGuckin have joined the Casement Park Project Board.

Sinn Féin MLA Pat Sheehan welcomed the appointments and said the facility will serve the entire community.


Mr Sheehan said: "This investment has the potential to help revitalise the economic fortunes of West Belfast and bring much needed jobs to the area.

"I also welcome the news that the GAA will consult with all stakeholders including local residents to ensure that this project can proceed in the near future.

"The appointment of an experienced project manager in order to oversee the project is also a positive step forward."
