Two Schools In Dublin Benefit From Major Building Programme

Two schools in the Dublin 8 area are to benefit from a major school building programme announced by the Government.

Our Lady School of Lourdes National School in Goldenbridge is to undergo refurbishment and extension works to begin next year.


A new special school is also to be developed at the new National Chidren's Hospital at St James' Hospital.

Fine Gael TD for Dublin South Central, Catherine Byrne, welcomed the announcement.

She said: "I commend the Government and the Minister for Education, Jan O’Sullivan, for their commitment to our primary and secondary schools, and for making provision for more school places right across the country, which are badly needed."
