Sinn Féin Hits Out Over Delay In Stormanstown Development

Sinn Féin has hit out over the continued delay in the development of the site at Stormanstown in Dublin.

The site, located on the Ballymun Road, has now been put on the market for €2.5m after planning permission was approved in August.

Sinn Féin Councillor Noleen Reilly said: "We could have a situation where this site sits idle for another five years or longer without development. There was no indication given back in August that they would be selling this site in the future and not developing it themselves.

"Residents who live nearby have to live beside a derelict site, infested with rodents, one which floods regularly, materials are being looted from it and it is also being used as a dumping site. I have raised this issue with Dublin City Council who have advised me that they will be contacting Grassridge Ltd about its condition."
