Restoration Work Complete On Derelict Building In Ballymoney

Restoration work on a derelict building in Ballymoney, Northern Ireland, is now complete.

Speaking at the official opening of Anne Shiels Jewellers in the centre of Ballymoney Minister Storey said: "I would like to pay tribute to all those involved in restoring this landmark building which sits at the heart of Ballymoney, and in particular to Roy and Anne Shiels for making a significant personal contribution to the revitalisation by bringing their business to the local people."


The Department for Social Development approved an Urban Development Grant of £75,136 for the refurbishment of a property at 2 Main Street, Ballymoney which had lay derelict for a number of years. T

Mrs Winnifred Mellett, Chairperson of Ballymoney Regeneration Company, said: "The Ballymoney Regeneration Company is absolutely delighted that Roy and Anne have completed the first Townscape Heritage Initiative (HTI) scheme in Ballymoney Town Centre and have contributed significant personal investment into this project."
